Lead cybersecurity strategy, operations, and compliance for complex infrastructure and ERP platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategy, policies, and frameworks aligned with ACSC Essential 8, VPDSS, and NIST standards.
• Oversee security operations including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Conduct security risk assessments across applications, infrastructure, and ERP platforms, including TechnologyOne.
• Manage and optimize security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
• Lead incident response investigations and recovery activities while supporting audit remediation.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in senior cybersecurity roles within complex environments.
• Mandatory experience working within Local Government or Council environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks: ACSC Essential 8, NIST CSF, VPDSS, ISO27001.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
• Strong experience with Microsoft security stack, specifically Microsoft Defender and Azure Sentinel.
• Solid understanding of cloud security (Azure) and SaaS/application security.
• Proven ability to manage external vendors and security service providers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience securing ERP systems, with specific exposure to TechnologyOne.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or OSCP.
• Microsoft security certifications (SC-200/300/400/900).
