You will build automated data pipelines and scalable analytics solutions to drive self-serve insights for editorial teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build automated data pipelines and scalable solutions in Python using Datalab and cron jobs.
• Design centralized Tableau data sources and develop end-to-end reporting solutions.
• Convert ad hoc insight requests into long-term, automated, and scalable data products.
• Explore new APIs and data solutions to optimize team workflows.
• Partner with DS&A and ADE teams to collaborate on centralized data aggregates.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or data scientist.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and Scala.
• 6+ years of experience building data and analytics solutions using APIs, including understanding API specs and implementing SQL-friendly structures.
• 5+ years of experience developing and optimizing Tableau data sources, dashboards, and stories.
• 2+ years of experience with the Hadoop Ecosystem (Spark, PySpark, Hive, Presto, or HMS).
• Technical proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with data engineering tasks, ETL, and data transformation across multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Tableau Prep and Excel.
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake and Big Data systems.
• Experience using Jupyter Notebooks.
• Understanding of large-scale content management systems and data modeling.
