Description

You will manage and optimize production database environments while integrating DevOps automation workflows.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Optimize database performance using advanced SQL tuning techniques.
• Manage production instances of Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.
• Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting.
• Implement database security best practices and access controls.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support data infrastructure reliability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in data or database environments.
• Expertise in SQL tuning and complex query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL in production.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation.
• Foundational knowledge of database security concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS RDS and other AWS database services.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• AWS Certification.
