Description

You will design and own end-to-end data architectures for batch, streaming, and real-time workloads.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models, lakehouse structures, and metadata strategies aligned with business needs.
• Architect ETL/ELT solutions using AWS Glue Jobs, Glue Data Catalog, and Glue Workflows.
• Build and optimize data pipelines in AWS using Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, and S3.
• Define and enforce data governance policies, IAM roles, and encryption standards.
• Mentor engineering teams on modern data-platform design and architectural standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.
• Expert knowledge of AWS Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, and IAM.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development and distributed processing optimization.
• Strong experience with DAG-based orchestration (Airflow, MWAA, or Glue Workflows).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for scalable data processing.
• Strong understanding of data modeling (OLTP, OLAP, lakehouse) and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps on AWS.
• Experience integrating or supporting ML pipelines using PyTorch.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (e.g., Data Analytics – Specialty).
• Experience with EMR, Redshift, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
