Description

You will design and implement core data architecture solutions for distributed systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement data solutions using distributed architectures and API services.
• Develop and manage data pipelines using Spark, Scala, and Python.
• Document architectural decisions through strong technical writing.
• Troubleshoot environment and hosting issues within cloud-based platform services.
• Apply data analysis techniques to support platform reliability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in progressively responsible application engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, and Hadoop.
• Experience with dbt, Trino, and Starburst.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proficiency in working with Google BigQuery.
• Experience with data persistence solutions beyond RDBMS, including Key/Value Stores, Document DBs, and Object Storage.
• Skilled in Agile software development using Jira.
• Familiarity with modern design patterns and object orientation.
• Knowledge of general security and networking technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST API design and development best practices.
• Exposure to full-stack development.
