Design and govern enterprise data architectures for global insurance organizations, leading technical strategy and team transformation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-native, hybrid, and lakehouse data solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and AWS/Azure/GCP services.
• Design advanced data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and implement Medallion architecture for batch and streaming pipelines.
• Establish data governance, lineage, cataloging, and security frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance and data residency.
• Lead architectural teams and drive the adoption of modern data standards across globally distributed organizations.
• Assess legacy systems and guide transitions to future-state architectures aligned with business and regulatory goals.

Required Skills

• 12+ years in data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data management.
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles driving technical strategy.
• Deep expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and major cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience in the insurance industry (P&C/Specialty), including familiarity with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco.
• Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with real-time streaming, distributed systems, and external data augmentation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical field.
• Professional certifications in data architecture or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with client-facing roles or consulting environments.
