Description

Architect and govern enterprise data solutions for the insurance sector, leading modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native lakehouse and distributed architectures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native data architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and AWS/Azure/GCP services.
• Develop advanced data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and master data frameworks aligned with P&C and Specialty insurance requirements.
• Define and enforce metadata management, data governance, lineage, and security standards across global teams.
• Lead the transition from legacy architectures to modern Medallion architecture and real-time streaming pipelines.
• Drive adoption of architectural best practices and collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategy with business goals.

Required Skills

• 12+ years in data architecture and data modeling, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Deep expertise in insurance industry data schemas, regulatory compliance, and core platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco).
• Hands-on proficiency with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and major cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of Medallion architecture, batch/streaming pipeline design, and external data augmentation.
• Proven experience governing complex data solutions for operational, analytical, and regulatory purposes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Professional certifications in data architecture or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Advanced degree in Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
