Description

You will lead the migration of reporting solutions from legacy Oracle platforms to Snowflake.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement migration strategies for moving reporting workloads to Snowflake.
• Map Oracle data structures, data types, and stored procedures to Snowflake equivalents.
• Validate data integrity and accuracy between Oracle and Snowflake systems.
• Implement Snowflake security measures including role-based access control, data masking, and encryption.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and query efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Deep understanding of Oracle and Snowflake database concepts, including data modeling and stored procedures.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience managing large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake performance tuning and role-based access control.
• Experience migrating reporting workloads from legacy platforms to cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency with reporting tools such as Power BI or Excel via ODBC/JDBC access.
• Strong documentation skills for data models and Snowflake configurations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowpipe, Snowpark, or Snowflake Data sharing.
• Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica or AWS Redshift.
• Background working in financial or government enterprise data environments.
