Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions for high-volume structured and unstructured data.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouse solutions using Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Delta Lake.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources.
• Implement dimensional and relational data models to support analytics and BI.
• Process large-scale batch and real-time data using Spark, Kafka, Flink, or Hadoop.
• Enforce data quality, governance, security, and access controls.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language: Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including S3, EMR, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Practical experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data warehousing concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with data scientists to productionize ML models.
• Proven ability to lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
