Description

You will build and manage data pipelines for batch and real-time ingestion using dbt and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines for batch and real-time ingestion from diverse sources.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical data models to support business use cases and self-service querying.
• Optimize Snowflake costs through warehouse sizing and query management.
• Implement security protocols using RBAC and manage Snowflake variant data types for JSON performance.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and manage CI/CD workflows for code merging and environment promotion.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with dbt, preferably dbt Cloud.
• Deep expertise in dbt macros, Jinja, job scheduling, and notifications.
• Advanced Snowflake skills including RBAC, Cortex, and cost optimization.
• Strong Python skills for connecting to various APIs.
• Experience with data modeling, profiling, and creating source-to-model mapping documents.
• Practical knowledge of Snowflake variant data types for heavy JSON workloads.
• Experience with dbtAssist, semantic layer, metric flow, or askDBT.
• Familiarity with either EHR systems like Epic (Clarity) or Customer 360 design.
