Description

Manage and optimize data infrastructure and database performance within an AWS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL instances in production environments.
• Optimize database performance using advanced SQL tuning techniques.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows using Python and Bash scripting.
• Implement and maintain database security best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to solve complex data engineering problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of database security concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS RDS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• AWS Certification.
