Description

Design and deploy fault-tolerant software to improve the reliability and performance of a Cloud Analytics platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable architecture for ingestion, streaming, storage, and aggregation.
• Build abstractions and reusable developer tooling for self-service pipelines.
• Deploy and automate large-scale global deployments within AWS.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and provide peer feedback.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate to resolve technical pain points.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience designing systems from the ground up.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Presto.
• Expertise in building real-time or batch data pipelines on large, complex datasets.
• Deep understanding of web-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with messaging, queueing, and stream processing systems.
• Ability to design for maintainability, testability, monitorability, and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Flink, Samza, Storm, Elasticsearch, Druid, or Cassandra.
