Description

You will own the migration of on-premises data systems to AWS cloud platforms, specifically utilizing Databricks and Python.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data solutions that align with business objectives.
• Migrate data from on-premises databases to AWS S3 using Databricks.
• Analyze complex data sources to assess value and recommend inclusion in analytics.
• Troubleshoot defects and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis.
• Collaborate across teams to support project delivery and educate end-users.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering or data migration projects.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and software engineering.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud platforms, particularly S3 and Databricks.
• Strong background in migrating data from on-premises systems to the cloud.
• Experience with ETL tools and data transformation code testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with core data management principles, including governance and security.
