Description

You will deploy, maintain, and optimize Starburst and Dell Data Lakehouse installations to enable seamless client data access.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Starburst Enterprise/Galaxy and Dell Data Lakehouse installations, handling setup, configuration, and upgrades.
• Configure server and application settings to integrate Starburst with diverse data sources for a unified platform.
• Design and tune container solutions for required performance and scalability.
• Implement security controls for data access, ensuring compliance and managing vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot server issues, perform root cause analysis, and execute daily monitoring.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Proven administration experience with Trino/Starburst Enterprise/Galaxy via CLI.
• Implementation experience with container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Understanding of distributed system architecture, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with security authentication systems such as LDAP and Active Directory.
• Excellent proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with JDBC/ODBC standards.
