Description

You will own the end-to-end development of scalable cloud components, leading projects from design through delivery in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable, scalable data components and pipelines in the cloud.
• Write production-grade Python code, perform unit and integration testing, and conduct code reviews.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues within code and data pipelines to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to refine technical requirements and identify automation opportunities.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership for small teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience as a Python developer.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, design patterns, and efficient coding practices.
• Proficiency with SQL and database technologies such as Vertica, Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and source control, specifically Jenkins.
• Ability to write and maintain unit, integration, and load tests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years building and deploying to AWS cloud environments.
• 2+ years using Apache Spark or similar big data technologies.
• Experience with streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Apache Flink.
