Description

Lead evaluation and improvement of data engineering systems, processes, and applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans to validate application functions and implement modifications within existing architecture.
• Determine scope, time estimates, and system impacts for business data requests.
• Manage the full software development life cycle, including creation, enhancement, and evaluation of software.
• Provide technical support to production systems, addressing reported issues and anticipating maintenance requirements.
• Provide on-call support to address production incidents as needed.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software application development and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data platform design, and data warehousing principles.
• Extensive experience with ETL and ELT processes.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Advanced SQL and SQL scripting skills.
• Experience with data movement and consumption tools such as dbt, DataStage, Informatica, or Denodo.
• Experience managing data delivery across platforms including Snowflake, Netezza, Collibra, or Oracle.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar version control systems.
• Background in financial services data integrations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Data Lake, Data Products, and Data Vault Modeling.
• Knowledge of AWS environments.
