Description

You will lead the migration of complex data engineering efforts from legacy SAS platforms to Snowflake on AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable SAS to Snowflake data migration pipelines.
• Lead data ingestion into Snowflake using optimized staging, partitioning, and file formats.
• Develop ETL workflows using AWS Glue, Python, and SQL.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and storage.
• Enforce security controls aligned with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong experience migrating SAS-based platforms to Snowflake or cloud data warehouses.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong AWS experience, specifically with S3, Glue, IAM, and Lambda.
• Expertise in SQL and Python.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data migrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience supporting Treasury or Federal programs.
• Knowledge of Parquet and ORC data formats.
