Description

You will provide technical leadership for a distributed team building a data warehouse on Google Cloud, designing ETL/ELT pipelines and overseeing remote development.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee remote developers in Eastern Europe while coordinating with technical leads in California.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines using Composer (Airflow) and Java Dataflow (Beam).
• Analyze source data and collaborate with consumers to define output table schemas.
• Perform design and code reviews for other developers and write technical documentation.
• Provide technical recommendations to the Data Warehouse Technical Lead regarding best practices.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience with ETL/ELT to BigQuery and Google Cloud development.
• 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow in Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL scripting.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT for data warehousing, including schema design and pipeline implementation.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and well-reasoned technical documentation in English.

Preferred Skills

• 2 years of experience with Apache Beam in Java (specifically Google Cloud Dataflow).
• Experience with Google Cloud Composer, Google Cloud Cortex, Google Cloud Data Catalog, or Google Looker.
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, Gradle, Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud Datastream, CI/CD, and GitHub.
