You will design and build scalable data pipelines and distributed computing systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data applications using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• Implement and manage real-time data and streaming applications.
• Build and optimize data warehousing solutions using Redshift or Snowflake.
• Deploy and manage distributed data processing workflows.
• Operate within Agile engineering practices to deliver data products.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of application development experience.
• 3+ years with distributed computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).
• 3+ years with UNIX/Linux, including shell scripting.
• 2+ years with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
• 2+ years with NoSQL implementations (MongoDB or Cassandra).
• 2+ years with data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake).
• 2+ years with real-time data and streaming applications.
• 1+ year with big data technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Gurobi or EMR.
• Familiarity with Java or Scala in data contexts.
