Description

You will translate Property & Casualty insurance domain requirements into scalable data solutions, owning the end-to-end design and implementation of data models. You will ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across policy administration systems, claims, billing, and regulatory reporting layers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement relational, dimensional, and Data Vault 2.0 models, applying appropriate Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs) based on business requirements.
• Perform in-depth data analysis and profiling to assess data quality, completeness, and consistency across multiple systems.
• Support Change Data Capture (CDC) processes and conduct data balancing and auditing to ensure reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Analyze and transform XML and JSON data structures, maintaining XSDs and Java-based schemas to handle evolution and drift.
• Define and enforce data governance standards, including metadata management, lineage, and data quality rules.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data modeling with expertise in Dimensional, Data Vault, and Canonical Data Modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ERWin and/or Hackolade for modeling and design.
• Strong SQL and XQuery skills with experience working with large datasets.
• Proficiency in XML, XSD, and JSON data structures, including tools like Altova XMLSpy.
• Deep understanding of Mainframe Data Structures (Segments, Copybooks).
• Experience with industry-standard data models such as ACORD and mapping source data to canonical models.
• Strong knowledge of P&C Insurance domain: policy, quote, rating, endorsements, claims, and billing lifecycles.
• Experience with policy administration systems like OneShield, OSPAS, or similar PMS platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL/ELT tools (AWS Glue, Informatica, dbt).
• Programming experience in Python for schema and data processing tasks.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and streaming data (Kafka).
