Description

You will design, optimize, and implement data models as the organization transitions its enterprise data to the Databricks Lakehouse platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into logical and physical data models.
• Design scalable, flexible, and performance-optimized data models for analytics, reporting, and ML workloads on Databricks.
• Map and migrate legacy data structures (EHR, EMR, billing, operational systems) to the Databricks Lakehouse environment.
• Ensure model design complies with HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy regulations.
• Partner with data governance teams to enforce data quality and standardization best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data modeling.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud or lakehouse environments, specifically Databricks.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark SQL).
• Experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball, Data Vault, 3NF).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of healthcare data compliance (HIPAA) and data structures (HL7, FHIR).
• Experience with Snowflake or Azure Synapse is required.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a clinical environment.
