Description

You will design, optimize, and implement data models for the organization’s transition to the Databricks Lakehouse platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models for analytics, reporting, and ML workloads.
• Map and migrate legacy data structures (EHR, EMR, billing) to the Databricks Lakehouse environment.
• Ensure model design complies with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
• Partner with data governance teams to enforce data quality and standardization best practices.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineering teams to deliver scalable, performance-optimized solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data modeling.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud or lakehouse environments, specifically Databricks.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark SQL).
• Experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball, Data Vault, 3NF).
• Experience with Snowflake or Azure Synapse is required.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of healthcare data compliance (HIPAA) and data structures (HL7, FHIR).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work cross-functionally in a clinical environment.
