Description

Own the data modeling and architecture for cyber security projects in Washington, D.C. Deliver commitments within two-week sprints using a hands-on technical leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project stakeholders and the data governance team to define requirements.
• Develop a common information model and support data mapping and lineage.
• Understand data identity and access management focused on cyber security data.
• Translate GIS data into other systems using proven integration and migration patterns.
• Execute data dictionaries and modeling tasks directly, not just provide thought leadership.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on data modeling and data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience working with Oracle, Hadoop, and Starburst platforms.
• Strong background in data mapping, lineage, and data dictionary management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sprint-based environment.
• Experience with cyber security data domains (banking experience is not required).
