Description

Lead the Data QA Center of Excellence to define testing standards, governance models, and end-to-end test strategies for data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across on-prem and cloud platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Establish the Data QA COE, documenting testing standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Design and implement end-to-end test strategies for data pipelines, integrating QA automation suites into DevOps pipelines via DataOps.
• Develop custom data testing frameworks using Java or Python and implement tools like dbt.
• Manage test data management strategies, creating reusable datasets for multiple scenarios.
• Triage defects, verify fixes, and report metrics throughout the defect lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in data testing, data governance, and data transformation validation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake and Databricks.
• Proficiency in building custom automation frameworks using Python, PySpark, or Java.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries for validating business logic transformations.
• Deep knowledge of data sources including Informatica, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Practical experience with Azure Cloud, GCP, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Great Expectations.
