Description

You will optimize and refactor Python codebases to improve performance while maintaining existing functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed refactoring and optimization plans for Python code.
• Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable Python code following standard best practices.
• Test new code thoroughly to resolve bugs and ensure consistency with original implementations.
• Create technical documentation, including comments, user guides, and specifications for migrated code.
• Standardize data pipelines for forecast models and recommend team best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in a related role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in production-grade Python.
• Deep knowledge of SciKit-learn, PySpark, NumPy, and Pandas.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with pytest or other Python unit testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with GitHub for collaboration.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operationalizing ML models and collaborating with Data Science teams.
• Familiarity with R programming for code migration to Python or PySpark.
• Experience with production-grade pipelines, Databricks, or Delta Live Tables.
