Description

Apply advanced mathematical and statistical modeling to solve complex business problems in a retail environment. You will own the full lifecycle of data science solutions, from cleaning large datasets to deploying machine learning and optimization models that deliver large-scale business impact.

Responsibilities

• Clean, transform, and manipulate large datasets to drive business process improvements and solution development.
• Develop, test, and maintain large codebases within a collaborative, professional environment.
• Deploy machine learning and optimization solutions that deliver large-scale business impact in commercial settings.
• Collaborate across different geographies and time zones to meet project timelines.
• Apply data visualization and analytical thinking to communicate insights effectively.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
• Hands-on experience using Azure and Databricks.
• Proven experience working within the retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts, including probability estimation and simulations.
• Experience with optimization, including linear programming (integer, real, and mixed integer) and stochastic processes.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and machine learning.
• Bachelor’s, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Background in handling supply chain data.
