This role requires expertise in developing scalable ETL/ELT workflows, optimizing SQL performance, and ensuring data accuracy across diverse systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows to migrate and integrate data from multiple sources into target systems (e.g., MRT data warehouses).
Extract, transform, and load data using advanced business rules to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Optimize SQL queries, ETL package execution, and overall pipeline performance for efficiency and scalability.
Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring solutions to maintain high standards of data integrity.
Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, enforcing best practices in ETL design, coding standards, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, and SQL optimization.
Strong proficiency with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or similar).
Advanced SQL skills with proven ability to optimize queries and manage large datasets.
Experience working with enterprise data warehouse platforms and cloud-based environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of mentoring junior team members.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Snowflake).
Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards
