Description

You will manage advanced database administration for applications with complex data models, workflows, and reporting requirements. You will own the migration of data from Oracle applications to SQL schemas and load it into collections. You will convert Oracle stored procedures and functions to Azure SQL. You will optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing monitoring solutions. You will manage database tuning, indexing, installations, upgrades, patching, and user management. You will execute disaster recovery, high availability clustering, data replication, and backup procedures to ensure data integrity and security. You will collaborate with teams to create and maintain logical and physical data models.

Responsibilities

• Migrate data from Oracle applications to SQL schemas and load into collections.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of database administration experience.
• Expertise in Oracle and Azure Microsoft SQL.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Java application environments.
• Experience working within Agile (Scrum) environments.
• Proficiency in data migration, conversion, and transformation.
• Experience implementing security for data at rest and in motion.
• Competency in database clustering, load balancing, and disaster recovery.
