Description

You will own the reliability, performance, and availability of critical PostgreSQL and MySQL database systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate highly available PostgreSQL and MySQL cluster architectures.
• Troubleshoot and fine-tune complex database workloads for low-latency and high-throughput performance.
• Define and execute data integrity, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and security hardening measures across the database fleet.
• Partner with Development and DevOps teams on data modeling, schema design, and scaling.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing production PostgreSQL and MySQL clusters.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL replication, partitioning, and tuning.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL InnoDB, clustering, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Bash.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
• Implementing observability using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Systematic approach to diagnosing production database and Linux performance bottlenecks.
