You will manage and optimize database systems across on-premise and cloud-hosted environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer Oracle and MySQL database systems.
• Monitor performance, apply patches, and manage storage and capacity planning.
• Execute database migrations and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Optimize query performance in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Mentor junior DBA engineers on administration best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Oracle and MySQL database administration.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL and document-oriented databases like MongoDB.
• Proven ability to manage backup and recovery strategies.
• Experience managing database systems on-premise and on cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of database normalization and indexing.
• Ability to support 24/7 on-call rotations.
