You will own the full lifecycle of database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across diverse environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra databases.
• Monitor performance, optimize queries, and manage indexing to ensure system efficiency.
• Implement high availability solutions including replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to guarantee data integrity.
• Handle L2 incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex database issues.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Advanced SQL knowledge and expertise in performance tuning.
• Experience with HADR, replication, and database monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Basic administration skills for Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to manage database security, including users, roles, and access control.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in database administration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting and guiding L1 team members.
