Description

You will own the design, stability, and performance of our database environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality database solutions using T-SQL, including stored procedures and functions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database servers to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.
• Optimize large, complex SQL queries and stored procedures for improved performance.
• Manage database lifecycle tasks including upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Mentor junior DBA engineers and review their technical output.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar database administration role.
• Strong proficiency with MS-SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design concepts.
• Expertise in database modelling and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS SQL Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• 2-3 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Experience with MS-SQL Server monitoring tools and server resource profiling.
• Proficiency with GIT for code versioning.
• Ability to configure database engines and orchestrate clusters.
• Proven capability in troubleshooting production database issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with distributed teams and managing flexible work hours.
