Description

You will manage the planning, deployment, and optimization of database environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database architecture for on-premise and cloud systems, focusing on scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Optimize performance for SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL by analyzing query execution plans and implementing indexing and partitioning strategies.
• Manage security and compliance through access controls, encryption, auditing, and coordination with cybersecurity teams.
• Oversee database patching, upgrades, and migrations to and from cloud environments like Azure and AWS.
• Automate routine tasks and integrate database processes into CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell, Python, or SQL scripts.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Experience managing databases in Azure and AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Oracle Cloud, and MySQL on Amazon RDS.
• Proficiency in automation using PowerShell, Python, or SQL scripting.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, clustering, and failover solutions.
• Ability to design and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
