Description

You will manage MongoDB production environments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization. Your focus includes automating cloud infrastructure on AWS and providing 24/7 operational support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB in production and non-production environments.
• Develop automation scripts using AWS Lambda, CFT, Python, YAML, and Unix Shell for provisioning and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve database performance issues using monitoring tools and tuning techniques.
• Implement and maintain high availability, data replication, sharding, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and troubleshoot production connectivity and operational issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Database Administration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• Extensive experience in database performance tuning.
• Strong proficiency in AWS Cloud services and Linux/VM platforms.
• Expertise in cloud automation via AWS CloudFormation Templates (CFT) and Lambda (3+ years).
• Proficiency in Python, YAML, and Unix Shell scripting.
• Deep understanding of HA, DR, and storage technologies.
• Experience implementing and auditing database security.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting MongoDB on-premise and in the cloud.
• Experience with AWS CFT development and database monitoring tools.
