Description

You will own enterprise-scale database operations for critical systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize YugabyteDB and PostgreSQL environments.
• Implement automation for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling database infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, replication, clustering, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot and optimize database performance across production environments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams on database requirements.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Expertise with PostgreSQL and YugabyteDB or other distributed SQL databases.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting.
• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience deploying cloud databases on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with core database administration tasks (HA, backup, clustering).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Spanner or similar distributed systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, or Helm.
