Description

You will manage the day-to-day administration, installation, and configuration of SQL Server database environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server environments, including installations, upgrades, patching, and database creation.
• Configure and monitor AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Manage backup and restore procedures using native tools and third-party solutions like Rubrik.
• Perform performance tuning, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting for queries and stored procedures.
• Implement database security, TDE encryption, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server 2014, 2016, 2017, or 2019 administration.
• Expert knowledge of SQL clustering and availability groups.
• Proficiency in T-SQL for troubleshooting and query optimization.
• Experience with replication topologies and components.
• Strong background in both OLTP and Data Warehousing environments.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell and SQL tools for operational automation.
• Deep understanding of SQL Client architecture.
• Experience troubleshooting Kerberos issues and implementing TDE encryption.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
