Description

Manage the administration, testing, and implementation of database systems, ensuring high availability and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Approve administration, testing, and implementation of database environments.
• Monitor system health and performance to maintain availability and security.
• Review and approve scheduled database tasks, including jobs, alerts, and notifications.
• Design systems for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery using Windows Failover Cluster Services and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Oracle and MySQL.
• Knowledge of shell scripting and SCOM.
• Ability to manage Very Large Databases (VLDB), including index maintenance and statistics updates.
• Experience meeting RPO and RTO requirements via disaster recovery design.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work at various client locations throughout the U.S.
