Description

You will manage database planning and operational activities across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operational tasks, database administration, and structure implementation.
• Monitor and tune database performance and conduct SQL code reviews.
• Develop technical documentation and mentor technical staff.
• Manage database upgrades, catalog maintenance, and sub-system point in time recovery.
• Support infrastructure activities including z/OS started task creation and disaster recovery requirements.

Required Skills

• 15 years of experience in database administration for DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server (2008R2, 2012), and Oracle (10g and above).
• Advanced expertise in DB2 for z/OS application integration and performance management.
• Proficiency in JCL and familiarity with the z/OS integrated platform.
• In-depth knowledge of CA GEN model management, ISPF, ASG Scheduler, COBOL, and RACF.
• Experience with MSSQL tools including SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Working knowledge of z/OS EXITs, BJS, Windows Servers, and Azure.
• Familiarity with CICS, IOF, and Oracle/MSSQL application integration.
• Understanding of technical infrastructure implementation planning, IBI z/OS service support, and AFOPER commands.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GIS databases.
