Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to provide senior‑level support for enterprise Oracle and SQL Server database environments within a structured public‑sector setting. The successful consultant will be responsible for the design, administration, optimization, security, and availability of critical database platforms, including on‑premise and public‑cloud‑hosted environments, while supporting established operational processes such as incident, change, and configuration management.

Scope

Administer, support, and optimize enterprise database environments

Ensure high availability, performance, and data security

Support ETL and data warehouse platforms

Provide database expertise for upgrades, migrations, and cloud‑hosted solutions.

Assignment Deliverables

Secure, stable, and highly available database environments

Physical database designs aligned with application and business needs

Backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery solutions

Performance tuning and optimization artefacts.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

More than 10 years of hands on Oracle DBA experience

Approved experience with Oracle 12c and 19c, including multi-tenant architecture

Experience with Oracle 19c RAC, Grid Infrastructure, and ASM

Strong experience with RMAN backup and restores

Experience implementing data encryption using ASO and/or TDE

Experience configuring and administering Oracle Data Guard (physical and logical)

Experience configuring and managing Oracle Enterprise Manager for alerting and reporting

Strong UNIX shell scripting experience

Advanced experience with SQL optimization, tuning, and performance troubleshooting

Experience hosting Oracle databases on public cloud platforms.

Nice to Have:

Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages

Proficiency with query languages and information‑retrieval tools

Experience with one or more communications protocols.
