Description

You will manage database architecture, performance optimization, and long-term reporting strategies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design database structures for new projects, including file management and smart tag systems.
• Optimize SQL queries and adjust configuration parameters such as memory allocation, cache sizes, and connection limits.
• Implement indexing, partitioning, and sharding strategies to manage large tables and distribute system load.
• Evaluate schemas for normalization or denormalization based on specific requirements.
• Develop a long-term reporting strategy, including the selection of automated reporting tools and dashboard solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL.
• Experience managing databases within AWS environments.
• Ability to analyze and resolve long-running SQL queries.
• Knowledge of partitioning, sharding, and indexing techniques.
• Experience with database configuration and hardware resource matching.
