Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale database environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy highly available, scalable distributed Cassandra database solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Provision, secure, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 and S3 storage.
• Develop standardized AMI images and CloudFormation automation scripts for production and non-production environments.
• Maintain data models, structures, and procedures to ensure database integrity and performance.
• Conduct systems design, feasibility, and cost studies to recommend cost-effective cloud solutions.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of database administration experience.
• Expertise in Oracle RAC/ASM, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with UNIX and KSH programming.
• Experience with data-pump, backup recovery, and replication methods.
• Hands-on experience with Shareplex and GoldenGate data replication tools.
• Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, networking, and security.
• Experience with SQL-server and distributed Cassandra (DataStax or Apache) clusters.
• Ability to design complex solutions integrating AWS, on-premise physical servers, and virtual servers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud Foundry.
