Description

You will manage Snowflake data warehouses, oversee data replication, and maintain production database environments across multiple platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Snowflake environments, including production deployments and environment monitoring.
• Design and implement data models, schemas, tables, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Manage security and access controls, integrating with Active Directory and SSO.
• Optimize storage efficiency and query performance through indexing strategies and tuning.
• Support developers and end-users with query guidance and architectural troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of hands-on database experience.
• Extensive experience with DB2, UDB/AIX utilities (backup, reorg, runsstat, rebind).
• Proficiency with Oracle and MS SQL Server reorg and update stats.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake data modeling, AWS S3, Glue, and AWS DMS.
• Strong understanding of indexing, query tuning, and data lake architectures.
• Experience working within a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Familiarity with version control tools.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.
• Experience with data replication.
