Description

Manage the Snowflake data warehouse, oversee data replication, and ensure environment health through production deployments and monitoring.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Snowflake environment, including production deployments via dev/ops procedures and health monitoring.
• Design and implement data models, schemas, and database objects such as tables, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Manage security, access controls, and integration with Active Directory/SSO for SaaS applications.
• Perform query tuning, indexing strategy revisions, and performance optimization for data pulls.
• Coordinate issue resolution, provide technical guidance to programmers, and support end-users with data queries.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on database experience.
• Expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling and security configuration.
• Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with DB2/UDB and AIX utilities (backup, reorg, runsstats, rebind).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Redis, S3, Glue, and DMS.
• Strong understanding of indexing and query tuning.
• Experience working within a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLCM) methodology.
• Familiarity with version control tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating databases from on-premise data centers to the cloud.
• Knowledge of the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.
