Senior Database Architect & Modeler

You will own the database architecture, modeling, and administration for a large-scale cloud migration.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce database design standards ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
• Lead database aspects of development on the Guidewire platform, ensuring high availability and low latency.
• Identify and resolve database performance issues to support millions of users.
• Collaborate with software and data engineers to ensure adherence to database standards during development and migration.
• Design and implement both 3NF normalization models and dimensional models.
• Provide hands-on support during production outages, troubleshooting system stability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database architecture, modeling, and administration.
• Extensive experience with 3NF normalization and dimensional modeling.
• Hands-on experience with operational databases like Aurora PostgreSQL and analytical databases like Snowflake.
• Proven track record working with large engineering teams.
• Experience with SaaS platforms like Guidewire platform.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL development and data integration processes.
• Experience with modeling tools like Erwin and monitoring tools like Datadog.
