Description

You will design and implement a scalable SQL Server architecture supporting 5M daily transactions and integration with microservices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assess current SQL Server architecture to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Design high-performance architecture and implement archival strategies for 100TB of cold, warm, and hot data.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and bottleneck resolution.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery with near-zero RPO and RTO.
• Develop T-SQL scripts for constraints, tables, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and cursors.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in SQL Server database design, development, and administration.
• Expertise in T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Proven experience managing large-volume databases (100TB+).
• Deep understanding of scalability techniques including sharding, partitioning, and indexing.
• Experience with self-hosted SQL Server databases on virtual machines (VMs).
• Hands-on experience with database migration, backup, and recovery processes.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
