Manage database development, operational support, and DB2 optimization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write, analyze, and optimize complex DB2 SQL stored procedures.
• Monitor and analyze database performance, usage patterns, and storage management.
• Execute backup, recovery, and reorganization tasks to ensure data integrity.
• Lead the development and documentation of database standards and maintenance procedures.
• Consult with application project teams on database requirements and provide technical support.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a DB2 SQL developer.
• Extensive experience with IBM DB2 UDB and logical relational data concepts.
• Proven track record in database performance tuning and stored procedure optimization.
• Hands-on experience with DBA tasks including backup, recovery, and storage management.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend new database tools and software.

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing technical support to application project teams.
