Description

You will design, model, and support enterprise-level database management systems for government systems using cloud-based architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize database schemas, data dictionaries, and processing architectures to meet system requirements.
• Maintain and rewrite legacy SQL processes to accommodate versioning and infrastructure changes.
• Translate business requirements from process owners into viable logical and physical data models.
• Implement security protocols following NIST standards, Microsoft Trust Center compliance, and penetration testing requirements.
• Manage complex data warehousing projects across multiple platforms and computing environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database development and administration.
• Expertise in SQL Server and Azure Database development.
• Proficiency with DML, DQL, and DCL.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling including Logical, Physical, and Relational modeling, ER Diagrams, Entities, Attributes, and Cardinality.
• Advanced SQL programming involving Functions, Views, and Triggers.
• Strong understanding of normalization, aggregation, concurrency, and JSON data interchange formats.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, Blob Storage, and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency with SQL Data Tools, MS Power Apps, SQL Reporting Services, and MS Power BI.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing security-driven development against NIST and Azure compliance standards.
• Advanced skills in SDLC, Agile methodologies, and JavaScript.
