Description

You will manage and optimize production database environments, focusing on Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL. You will automate operational tasks, enforce security standards, and support engineering teams with complex data challenges.

Responsibilities

• Optimize database performance using advanced SQL tuning techniques on Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management using Python and Bash scripting.
• Implement database security concepts and industry best practices across production environments.
• Manage AWS infrastructure components including EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex data problems.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of professional experience in database engineering.
• Production-level experience with Amazon Aurora and/or PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in SQL and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with AWS services: EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Bash for automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
