Description

You will manage and optimize production database environments focused on PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL instances in production environments.
• Perform SQL tuning to optimize database performance.
• Automate database tasks using Python or Bash scripting.
• Implement database security concepts and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity and availability.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of overall professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Amazon Aurora and/or PostgreSQL in production.
• Advanced SQL skills and expertise in SQL tuning techniques.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Python or Bash for automation.
• Strong understanding of database security principles.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certification and experience with AWS RDS.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices including CI/CD and Git.
