Description

You will manage and optimize production database environments on Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL while automating infrastructure tasks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Optimize database performance using advanced SQL tuning on Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management using Python and Bash scripting.
• Implement database security standards and best practices across production environments.
• Manage AWS infrastructure components including EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex data challenges.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in database engineering.
• Production-level experience with Amazon Aurora and/or PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in SQL and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with AWS services: EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Bash for automation.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
